"He's Out"

Welcome Brock Nehemiah Dowers! Born November 6th, 2012 at 3:11pm. "You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance."

The quote of this blog title? There's a story. Charles, Aunt Bebe, and Daddy were looking at pictures and came across Charles' 2nd birthday pictures. Looking at one with Mom in it, to Charles the question was posed: "Where is baby brother in the picture?" Understandably confused, Charles processed Bebe and Daddy's explanation that baby brother was still in Mommy's tummy at the instance of the picture. With dawning revelation, Charles looked over at Brock who was laying on the couch. With appropriate gravity in just more than a whisper, Charles slowly declared: "He's out." Grandpa Dowers later filled in what must have been the next question in Charles' mind: "Do you suppose we should tell Mom?"

Our arms and hearts are full.
After a brief study session, Charles' verdict is:
"Where in the world do I fit into this triangle?"

We were smitten at short, dark, and handsome.

I absolutely love this picture-- all the Grandparents with delight written all over their faces.

Thank you Grandma Cathy-- delivered by Mom from our favorite Trader Joe's.

Lion, Meow, and Charles. Brock still has some work to do to reach their high standing.

I can't believe he's ours, he's safe, and he's home with us in our pretty blue house.

Notice the football outfit.

The brothers! Charles hands all of a sudden look enormous.

What did we do to deserve this boy? Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

"I always have my getaway train." I don't think he'll need to use it though. Charles has done such a good job taking on the mantle of big brother. He finds the binky, puts it in baby brother's mouth, has perfected the name: "Bot Nehemiah", gives kisses, brings Brock his little stuffed animals etc.
